Solids are a major culprit of restaurant plumbing backups. Rinsing solids down the drain can lead to immediate problems, whereas grease buildup happens over time. That's why we designed our indoor/outdoor Great Basin™ lineup to sufficiently capture grease and solids, with up to 25% solids capacities.
Billy Goat™ solids interceptors are only recommended when required by your jurisdiction, when using a concrete or steel interceptor, for restaurants with known solids problems, with any grease interceptor that does not include rated solids capacity, or in any facility that has a food waste grinder that is attached to the grease waste line.
