The Territory Specialist (TS) is a customer service and inside sales role working primarily with our plumbing wholesalers, contractors and engineers across North America. The TS works with all wholesalers in their assigned territory to ensure their orders meet our terms/conditions and administers the day-to-day aspects of our inventory program with our stocking wholesalers. The TS is also responsible for various aspects of technical support for our plumbing contractors and engineers in the field. To achieve this, the TS must have superb product and industry knowledge. The TS is part of the primary phone and email answering group and works closely with other Territory Specialist(s), Territory Managers and Manufacturer’s Reps and reports to the Sales Director.
Handles all inbound customer communication via phones and email
Rinses all orders to ensure accuracy and compliance with the stocking program
Enters orders into software (SAGE)
Reviews weekly inventory levels from stocking wholesalers
Maintains accurate customer contact information via Territory Tracker tool
Conducts regular communication and follow-up with purchasing contacts
Conducts quarterly inventory audit to ensure correct levels and makes adjustment where needed
Builds strong partner-level, customer relationships while upholding program and company policies
Responsible for processing stock, non-stock, parts and e-commerce orders
Must have a bright personality and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. Must have excellent interpersonal, organizational, writing, math and speaking skills. This role also requires a strong mechanical aptitude; plumbing industry background, while not required, is a plus. Must be motivating and persuasive, able to direct customers to keep with program policies. Must be proficient with Microsoft Suite, G-Suite and SAGE (by way of training at Schier).
