DESIGNED IN THE LAB
Schier introduced the first high-capacity grease interceptor with our Great Basin™ model GB-250 in 2006. At that time, the thinking was “the more baffles the better” – but when we began testing the traditional designs, we found just the opposite. Through multiple test iterations our engineering team discovered that flow diffusers made for a much more laminar flow environment, thus enhancing grease storage efficiency and capacity. Today we call this Diffusion Flow Technology™.

Our indoor/outdoor models (GB-50 and larger) offer the industry’s first zero flow control design for performance-rated hydromechanical grease interceptors and built-in solids capacity starting at 20% of tank volume. All Schier Great Basin™ models are 3rd party listed by UPC/IAPMO to the ASME A112.14.3 and CSA B481.1 standards. Since 2016, Schier has provided these test reports free and clear on our website because you deserve to see it for yourself.
